The building is located on the historic island of Chios and within a 14200 square meter (3.6 acres) orange and tangerine grove, located along the northwest fringes of the historic Kambos Valley of Chios.
The property lies 5 kilometers from the city of Chios and only 2 kilometers from the airport. It stands along the main traffic artery which connects the city with the medieval villages of Chios.
It merits mentioning that the Kambos Valley which covers several hundred acres of similar orange and tangerine groves is renown for producing the world's finest in taste and aroma tangerines and is recognised as one of the most singularly unique sites of Greece.
The construstion of the two story house dates back to the 15th century, during the period when the Genovese occupied the island. It has been built with carved stone, with wide (70 cm) inside and outside walls, masonry Genovese type cruciform and curved arch room ceilings and it covers a total area of 248 square meters.
During 1982, extensive interventions were conducted, in order to renovate the building and create improvement works around the structure, in order to facilitate modern day living accomodations.
Today, the restored house and the surrounding leisure and recreational areas comprise a notable building complex, which combines the historicity of the building's architectural form with the current comforts of modern living.
The 142 square meter ground floor includes two living rooms, a dining room, a kitchen, a small hall, a bathroom with shower facilities and an auxiliary room accommodating the stairway to the upper level.
The 106 square meter upper level quarters include three bedrooms, a bathroom and an area at the top end of the stairway, which may be used as an office, etc.
A 25 square meter veranda is also available from the bedroom's corridor.
Outside, along the front of the house lies a large Patio (60-70 square meters) with a BBQ facility at its end.
Immediately adjacent to the patio and at a lower level, extends the 72 square meter swimming pool, surrounded by tiled recreational space and facilitated with a bar, a WC and a utility room.
Adjacent and attached to the house is a small, about 64 square meter, cottage, built in the 19th century, which may be used as a guest house or as a residence for the property's caretaker.
The grove is planted mainly with orange and tangerine trees and is irrigated from an in place water well, located in the property, and through an autonomous irrigation complex.
