1. Road condition - The last 6 Kms are a dirt road, unserviced for the last 10 years. The condition of the road is worse than average due to this, but can easily be repaired to allow a car run smoothly at a 50-60 km av. speed. It is in the state's plans to be turned to asphalt road (decision taken 3 years ago) but this could take time to effect. The said plot is less than 100 m away from the road.
2. Water Supply - There is no central water supply in the area. There is plenty of water though, and even in times of drought the water supply from local wells and own drilling was plentiful.
3. Electricity - No official electricity network yet. The state provider has a providing installation that serves Kyklades at a distance of 2 km from the area. Buyers provide their properties with current from owned generators. However it is in our plans to bring electricity to the plot at a cost of 70,000 Euros, as DEH, the state provider, has recently advised us.
4. Telecom - Proper use of mobile phones allows for uninterrupted communication (tel - wifi).
5. Sewage - We have no particular plans yet, although a local engineer from Karystos has provided us with appropriate solutions in case new residential complexes or housing groups require it.
6. Distance to Karystos - The plot is 16 km from the town of Karystos. Small beaches exist in the area, just 250 m away, but great beaches are found in small distances - 1 km, 2 km, 3 km away. These are fantastic virgin beaches that can attract plot owners as well as foreigners away from the local beaches, rendering the total plot secure from pollution and overcrowding.
7. Construction - Every 4,000 m2 plot allows for a 220 m2 building. There is a possibility for tourism facilities. It is also possible to obtain a state grant in the case of a tourism facility of about 40% of the total budget (recent State Development Law). I can provide further details on this on demand.
